Fall officially arrived Sunday, September 22 at 4:44 EDT, but for most of the region, it doesn't look that way.  This is not unexpected, however, as this region is more colorful in October/early November.  The only appreciable color at this time is in the Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia and northwest Virginia where color change is mostly low (11%-30% change).  In some of higher elevations near West Virginia's eastern panhandle, some moderate color (31% - 60% change) can be found.

If you are planning a trip this fall, now is the time to make reservations!  Please check out our Places to Stay area to find great accommodations!
