October 6, 2016

The 2016 foliage season continues to lag behind the typical schedule.  Normally, by early October, we see moderate color in some of the higher elevations.  However, this year, we have yet to break 30 percent change.  At this point in time, it appears that Hurricane Matthew will come close to the Carolinas, but then turn east.  This should diminish the effects on the region.

Not sure where to go to see the foliage?  Check out our new section, Scenic Drives and More!
