Color change in the mountains is mostly high (61% - 80% change). Some portions of eastern West Virginia and the highest elevations in eastern Tennessee and western North Carolina have now reached peak color. At lower elevations, color change is mostly moderate (31% - 60% change).
Leaf drop is mostly low in the lower elevations, with some moderate drop in the higher terrain.
