Report #3 - September 19, 2009

September 19, 2009

Fall colors are starting to pop up in parts of the region. Portions of northern and southern Wisconsin, the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan and northern portions of Michigan's Lower Peninsula are reporting low color (11% - 30% change). Elsewhere in the region, foliage color remains very low (less than 10% change). Leaf drop is not an issue at this early stage of the season.

If you are planning a trip to see the foliage, it is advisable to make reservations now. Too often, travelers wait too long and often have problems finding accommodations. Please check out our Places to Stay and Foliage Spotters sections to find a great place to stay!
