September is drawing to a close and the colors are beginning to pop in northern locations. In the Adirondack Mountains in northern New York, the color has absolutely exploded the past few days. The higher elevations of the Adirondacks jumped to high color (61% - 80% change), with surrounding areas showing moderate color (31% - 60% change). Other areas reporting moderate color include much of northern Vermont and New Hampshire and northwestern Maine. Elsewhere in the Northeast, color change is mostly low (11% - 30% change).
If you are planning a trip this fall, now is the time to make reservations!
