The fall foliage season progressed rapidly over the past week. In fact, windy conditions brought much of west Virginia all the way past peak. Peak foliage can be found in much of western Virginia, western North Carolina, eastern Tennessee and western Maryland. Elsewhere, foliage change is high.
Leaf drop is mostly moderate throughout the region, with higher amounts where peak has passed.
