Following the family tradition of Provincial France, Barbara and Michel Faure have been resident proprietors of the Golden Pheasant Inn since 1986. They invite you to enjoy French Country dining and lodging at their 1857 Bucks County fieldstone inn that was built to serve as a stop for bargemen servicing the canal. Nestled between the Delaware River and canal, the Inn is close to beautiful parks, scenic roads and quaint covered bridges. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the Inn is 60 miles from Philadelphia or New York City and 12 miles north of New Hope, PA. It offers city dwellers the opportunity to shop, antique hunt, canoe, hike, fish, bicycle, jog, walk or just relax in a lovely peaceful country garden setting.

Creative French cuisine by Chef Michel, a native of Grenoble, France is served in three traditionally restored dining rooms including the Tavern Room with its fireplace, beamed ceiling, recessed windows, and exposed stone wall. This room is accented with copper pots and Barbara’s collection of Quimper pottery from Brittany, France. The Blaise Room is available for small parties or quiet intimate dining. A candle lighted greenhouse overlooks the canal and is perfect for a wedding reception or a romantic dinner. The Inn features a full assortment of liquor and beer and an extensive selection of American and Imported wines. Seasonal specialties such as pheasant, venison, duck, and quail are offered by Chef Michel in addition to our regular menu of salmon, crab cakes, lamb, beef and pork. Trained in France, Michel’s menu includes the freshest fish, game, fowl, meat, and produce available. Private parties, wedding receptions, anniversary and birthday celebrations are wel! come. Dinner is served Tuesday through Sunday. Sunday Brunch is served 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. Reservations are suggested.

Romantic lodging is available for our dining guests in six antique filled guestrooms featuring four poster queen or king-sized canopy beds, down comforters and fireplaces. Guestrooms offer river or canal views. Children and pets are welcome in our cottage suite. For lodging availability and reservations visit our web site.
