Foliage Report #6

September 22, 2001
The foliage is beginning to progress in the upper Midwest, with the first moderate color change being reported. Extreme northeastern Minnesota and north-central Wisconsin are the areas that have now reached the 31% - 60 % range of foliage change. All other areas in the Midwest are reporting low to very low color change.

Leaf drop continues to be very low for most of the upper Midwest, with some isolated areas reporting low leaf drop.
