Foliage Report #10

October 5, 2002

The amount of color change is on the increase in much of Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. High color is becoming more widespread with the first reports of peak color (81 to 100 percent) arriving from central Wisconsin. Much of the remainder of the region is in the low color range (11 to 30 percent) while western Ohio and a small portion of central Michigan continues to see very low color change.

Leaf drop in the region is low with pockets of moderate drop.
