October 9, 2002 Great foliage viewing has arrived in the northern half of Minnesota, much of north-central and northwestern Wisconsin and the western Upper Peninsula of Michigan. These areas are experiencing high (61 to 80 percent) to peak (81 to 100 percent) color change. The balance of Minnesota and Wisconsin are reporting mostly moderate color (31 to 60 percent). Most of Michigan and Ohio are still in the low color (11 to 30 percent) range. Leaf drop in the region is mostly low with moderate drop noted in the areas reporting high and peak color. This information provided by Marek D. Rzonca, The Foliage Network.
