Foliage Report #12

October 12, 2002

Ideal foliage viewing is now prevalent in much of Minnesota, the northern two-thirds of Wisconsin and the western portion of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Peak conditions (81 to 100 percent change) can be found in the northern half of Minnesota and in parts of Wisconsin and the U.P. of Michigan. Most of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan and the state of Ohio have yet to get into the action, but their time will soon be here!

Leaf drop in the region has increased, especially where peak and high color is found. While most locations are reporting low to moderate color, high leaf drop has been reported.
