Foliage Reports Archive - 2003 Midwest United States |
|
September 24, 2003 As Fall officially begins, moderate color is popping up throughout Minnesota. In northern and southwestern Minnesota, color change is in the 31 to 60 percent range. Elsewhere in Minnesota and in much of Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, the color change remains low (11 to 30 percent) change. The Lower Peninsula of Michigan and a majority of Ohio is still reporting very low color. Leaf drop throughout the region is not yet a factor, with reported leaf drop low to very low. If you have not yet made your leaf-peeping travel plans, now is the time! Check out our Places to Stay and Foliage Spotters sections to find great accommodations! This information provided by Marek D. Rzonca, The Foliage Network. The next report will be released on Saturday, September 27, 2003.
