Foliage Report #9

September 29, 2004

Great foliage can be found in the northern half of Minnesota and much of western Wisconsin. In these areas, moderate color (31% - 60% change) can be found with high color (61% - 80% change) in northeast Minnesota. In the northwest corner of the UP of Michigan, moderate color can also be found. Elsewhere in the region, foliage change is mostly low (11% - 30%).

Here are some of the places to visit now for great foliage displays.

Minnesota - Superior National Forest in extreme northeast Minnesota. State Route 61.

Leaf drop is mostly low across the region. In northern Minnesota however, the leaf drop is moderate.
