Foliage Report #10

October 2, 2004

Great foliage can be found in much of Minnesota and much of western Wisconsin. In these areas, moderate color (31% - 60% change) can be found with high color (61% - 80% change) in northern Minnesota. The east and west end of the UP of Michigan is also getting into the act with moderate color being reported. Elsewhere in the region, foliage change is mostly low (11% - 30%).

Here are some of the places to visit now for great foliage displays.

Minnesota - Superior National Forest in extreme northeast Minnesota. State Route 61. Chippewa National Forest in north-central Minnesota. U.S. Route 2

Leaf drop is mostly low across the region. In northern Minnesota however, the leaf drop is moderate.
