Foliage Report #13

October 13, 2004

Great foliage continues in much of Minnesota, Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In these areas, high color (61% - 80% change) to peak conditions are prevalent. High color can also be found in parts of the Lower Peninsula of Michigan and portions of northeast and southwest Ohio. Elsewhere, moderate color (31% - 60% change) remains.

Here are some of the places to visit now for great foliage displays.

Michigan - Anywhere in the Upper Peninsula.

Minnesota - Mostly anywhere in the state.

Wisconsin - State Route 27 from Ojibwa to Cadott. State Route 29 from Chippewa Falls to Withee. U.S. Route 53 from Superior to Chippewa Falls. U.S. Route 8 from the Minnesota border east to Rhinelander.

Leaf drop is mostly low to moderate across the region. The exception being northern Minnesota where leaf drop is high.
