Foliage Reports - Midwest United States

Foliage Report #13

October 15, 2005

If you are in search of fall color in the upper Midwest, it will be hard to miss! In Minnesota, peak color can be found in the central and southwestern part of the state. In southeastern Minnesota, high color persists. Meanwhile, in northern Minnesota, peak has passed.

In Wisconsin, conditions range from moderate color in the southern part of the state to peak conditions in the north. The Upper Peninsula of Michigan is reporting peak conditions in the western end of the peninsula and high color elsewhere. The Lower Peninsula is mostly experiencing moderate color. The same holds true in the State of Ohio.

Leaf drop is moderate in many areas where the color has reached high to peak conditions. In northern Minnesota, where peak has passed, leaf drop is high. Elsewhere in the region, leaf drop is mostly low.
