2000 Foliage Report #15

October 21, 2000
A majority of the Northeast is now reporting peak or past peak conditions. Much of Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, the Adirondack Mountains and Catskill Mountains in New York, and sections of western New York are now past peak. Southern Pennsylvania, much of New Jersey, downstate New York, and southern sections of Connecticut, Rhode Island, and Massachusetts are experiencing moderate to high color. The remaining areas of the Northeast are in peak color.

High leaf drop has been reported in much of New England, upstate New York, western Pennsylvania, and the Pocono Mountains in northeastern Pennsylvania. Other areas in the Northeast are reporting moderate leaf drop. The exception being northern Maine which has nearly complete leaf drop. Watch for upcoming foliage reports from The Foliage Network to keep up with autumn's spectacular colors!
