2000 Foliage Report #19

November 4, 2000
Past peak foliage conditions continue to spread southward through the Northeast. The only areas not reporting past peak conditions include portions of coastal Maine, southeastern Massachusetts, southern Rhode Island, southwestern Connecticut, southeastern New York, much of New Jersey, and portions of southern Pennsylvania. All of these areas are reporting either high color or peak conditions.

Windy conditions recently experienced in the Northeast have led to an increase in leaf drop. Most of northern New England and northern New York now have complete leaf drop. Many other areas are reporting nearly complete leaf drop. Areas not reporting past peak foliage conditions are reporting high leaf drop. Watch for upcoming foliage reports from The Foliage Network to keep up with autumn's spectacular colors!
