2000 Foliage Report #7

September 23, 2000
It's almost as if the leaves knew that autumn had officially arrived. About half of the Northeast is now experiencing 10 - 30 percent color, a considerable increase since the September 20 report. Also, portions of Vermont (Northeast Kingdom) and New York (northern Adirondacks) are now reporting moderate color (30 - 60 percent). Expect much of northern New England to be in this range in the next week or so.

Once again, leaf drop remains low to very low throughout the Northeast. Watch for upcoming foliage reports from The Foliage Network to keep up with autumn's spectacular colors!
