September 15, 2001 Leaf drop is very low to non-existent in much of the Northeast. The northern sections of the western Maine mountains, sections of the Adirondack and Catskill Mountains in New York, and portions of northern Vermont are reporting low leaf drop. All tolled, leaf drop is still not an issue at this early stage of the foliage season. This information provided by Marek D. Rzonca, The Foliage Network.
