The colors of fall are quickly spreading across the Northeast with the best viewing in northern New England, portions of upstate New York and north-central Pennsylvania. Foliage color in these locations is high to peak. The exception is northern Maine where peak has now passed. Now is a great time to visit the mountains of western Maine, the White Mountains in northern New Hampshire (including the famed Kancamagus highway), Vermont's Green Mountains and in New York, the Adirondack and Catskill Mountains. Elsewhere in the region, color change is mostly moderate with isolated pockets of low color.
Leaf drop is low to moderate throughout the Northeast.
