Happy Halloween! October is drawing to a close, a sign that the foliage season will soon follow suit. Throughout northern New England, the foliage season is over as most trees have totally changed and lost many of their leaves. However, foliage can still be found in much of southern New England, the lower elevations of upstate New York, and across Pennsylvania and New Jersey. These areas are reporting mostly high to peak color with the exception of southern New Jersey where only moderate fall color has been reported.
Leaf drop is high to nearly complete in those locations that have past peak. All other areas are reporting leaf drop that is moderate to high.
