The Appalachian Mountain chain throughout the region is now in full color. Peak conditions are extending from areas in western Maryland, west and south through much of West Virginia and through western Virginia. Foliage has past peak in a large section of the Western Region of Maryland. Elsewhere in the region, foliage conditions are in the moderate to high range.

Leaf drop is mostly moderate in the region. The exceptions being the higher elevations in West Virginia, where leaf drop is high, and eastern sections of Maryland and Virginia and a majority of Delaware, where low amounts of leaf drop prevail.
