Foliage Report #19

November 7, 2001
Peak conditions continue to push eastward, from higher to lower elevations, through the region. Much of central and eastern Virginia, eastern Maryland, and northern and central Delaware are reporting peak conditions. Southern Delaware, southeastern Maryland, and extreme southeastern Virginia are at high color. Foliage has gone past peak in western Maryland, western Virginia, and all of West Virginia.

Leaf drop continues to progress with much of the region now reporting high to nearly complete leaf loss. The exceptions being central and eastern West Virginia, western Maryland, and portions of western Virginia where leaf drop is now complete. Eastern Virginia, southeastern Maryland, and southern Delaware are reporting moderate leaf drop.

This information provided by Marek D. Rzonca, The Foliage Network. The next report will be released Saturday, November 10, 2001.
