Foliage Report #8

September 29, 2001
The amount of color change is now beginning to progress in the Southeast, particularly in eastern West Virginia, western Maryland, and along the Appalchian Mountain chain in Virginia. Other areas are still reporting very low color. The coming weeks should feature more color change throughout the Southeast.

Leaf drop continues to be very low for most of the Southeast. The Appalachian chain being the exception, where the leaf drop is a bit more advanced, but still low.

This information provided by Marek D. Rzonca, The Foliage Network. The next report will be released Wednesday, October 3, 2001.
