The foliage season is rapidly coming to a close in the region. Most of the western half of the region has past peak with the exception of southwestern Virginia where peak conditions still prevail. The eastern half of the region is still at peak.

Leaf drop in the region is mostly high to nearly complete. The exceptions being southeastern Virginia where drop is moderate and parts of western Maryland and northeastern West Virginia where leaf drop is complete.
