Foliage Report #16

October 25, 2003

All along the Appalachian Trail, great foliage abounds, with color change over 80 percent in most locations. The same holds true for most of the State of West Virginia. Elsewhere in the region, color change is mostly moderate to high with the exception of eastern North Carolina, coastal Maryland and the State of Delaware where color is still low.

Leaf drop is moderate to high throughout the region. In northern West Virginia, leaf drop is nearly complete.
