October 25, 2003 All along the Appalachian Trail, great foliage abounds, with color change over 80 percent in most locations. The same holds true for most of the State of West Virginia. Elsewhere in the region, color change is mostly moderate to high with the exception of eastern North Carolina, coastal Maryland and the State of Delaware where color is still low. Leaf drop is moderate to high throughout the region. In northern West Virginia, leaf drop is nearly complete. Looking for a place to stay? Check out our Places to Stay and Foliage Spotters sections to find great accommodations! This information provided by Marek D. Rzonca, The Foliage Network. The next report will be released on Wednesday, October 29, 2003.
