Much of the western half of western Virginia
and Maryland, most of West Virginia and the mountains of North
Carolina and Tennessee are showing peak color. Elsewhere in
the region, moderate (31% - 60% change) to high (61% - 80%
change) can be found. In portions of northern, southern and
western West Virginia, peak has passed. The same holds true
for some of the highest elevations in the North Carolina mountains.
Leaf drop is mostly moderate to high throughout the region.
In some of the areas where peak has passed, leaf drop is nearly
complete.
