The fall foliage has yet to get going in many areas of the region as little to no change prevails. The exception being the higher elevations in western Maryland, eastern West Virginia and the along the Appalachian Chain in western Virginia. These locations are reporting low (11% - 30% change) color. This is slightly behind last year, where some areas were already in the moderate (31% - 60% change) range.
Leaf drop is mostly very low across the region.
