The foliage change along the Appalachian Mountain chain has reached moderate levels (31% - 60% change), with high color (61% - 80% change) found in much of northern West Virginia and portions of western Virginia. The lower elevations are still reporting low color (11% - 30% change).
Leaf drop is low in much of the region with moderate leaf drop in areas with high color change.
