The foliage season is finally progressing throughout the higher elevations in the region. Moderate color (31% - 60% change) is being reported along the Appalachian Mountains in western Virginia and eastern West Virginia. The mountains of western North Carolina are nearing the moderate range. Low color (11% - 30% change) dominates elsewhere. Leaf drop is still very low to low across the region.
