The foliage is progressing nicely along in much of the region, especially in the mountains. Most of the
region is reporting at least moderate color, the exceptions being eastern North Carolina, eastern Maryland
and southern Delaware. In the mountains of West Virginia, western Maryland and western Virginia, foliage
color is high to peak. Some of the highest elevations in West Virginia have actually just gone past
the peak season.
Leaf drop is low in most of the region but is moderate to high in areas reporting high to past peak
color.
