The foliage season is winding down in the highest elevations along the Appalachian Mountains. However, great color can still be found in the lower elevations. Color throughout the region is mostly high to peak. The exceptions being southern Delaware and southeastern Maryland where color is still only moderate, and most of West Virginia, where peak has passed.
Leaf drop is mostly moderate with the exception of areas at or past peak where leaf drop is high to nearly complete.
