The foliage season in the southeast continues to progress and many areas should soon be at or past peak. All interior locations are reporting high to past peak conditions while coastal areas are still only reporting moderate color. Along the Appalachian chain, most locations are at or just past peak. The higher elevations in eastern West Virginia have gone past peak.
Leaf drop is low to moderate in most locations. The exceptions are the places past peak in West Virginia where leaf drop is high.
