Dartmouth-Lake Sunapee Region is best knows for its many colleges
and academies, Dartmouth being the most widely known. The Connecticut
River also runs along the western edge of the region, allowing
for many water-related activities.

Covered Bridges
Cilleyville
Bridge is located in Andover, NH (Merrimack County). Built in
1887, spanning Pleasant Brook. Located at the junction of State
Route 11 and State Route 4A.
Keniston
Bridge is located in Andover, NH (Merrimack County). This bridge,
built in 1882, spans the Blackwater River. Located south of
US Route 4, 1 mile west of Andover Village.
Bement
Bridge is located in Bradford, NH (Merrimack County). Built
in 1854, spanning the west branch of the Warner River. Located
1/4 mile north of intersection of State Routes 103 and 114 on
Bradford Center Road.
Blacksmith
Shop Bridge is located in Cornish, NH (Sullivan County). This
bridge, built in 1881, spans Mill Brook. Located 2 miles east
of State Route 12A on Town House Road.
Blow-Me-Down
Bridge is located in Cornish, NH (Sullivan County). Built in
1877 and spans a deep gorge on the Blow-Me-Down Brook. Located
south of State Route 12A, 1-1/2 miles southeast of Plainfield
Village on Mill Road.
Cornish-Windsor
Bridge in Cornish, NH (Sullivan County) and Windsor, VT (Windsor
County). Built in 1866 spanning the Connecticut River and the
New Hampshire/Vermont state line. Located west of State Route
12A on Cornish Toll Bridge Road.
Dingleton
Hill Bridge is located in Cornish, NH (Sullivan County). This
bridge, built in 1882, spans Mill Brook and is located 1 mile
east of State Route 12A on Root Hill Road.
McDermott
Bridge is located in Langdon, NH (Sullivan County). Built in
1869. Spans the Cold River and is located north of State Route
123A, 2 miles north of Alstead Village.
Prentiss
Bridge is located in Langdon, NH (Sullivan County). This bridge
was built in 1791 and spans Great Brook. Located 1/2 mile south
of State Route 12A on Old Cheshire Turnpike.
Packard
Hill Bridge is located in Lebanon, NH (Grafton County). Built
in 1991, spanning the Mascoma River. Located on Riverside Drive.
Edgell
Bridge is located in Lyme, NH (Grafton County). This bridge
was built in 1885 and spans Clay Brook. Located 1 mile south
of State Route 10, 2 miles south of Orford Village on River
Road.
Corbin
Bridge is located in Newport, NH (Sullivan County). Built in
~1845 and spans the Croydon Branch of the Sugar River. Located
west of State Route 10 on North Newport Road.
Pier Bridge
is located in Newport, NH (Sullivan County). This bridge was
built in 1907 and spans the Sugar River. Located east of Chandler
Station and west of State Route 103 on the Concord and Claremont
Railroad line.
Wright's
Bridge is located in Newport, NH (Sullivan County). Built in
1906 and spans the Sugar River. Located 2 miles south of State
Route 103 and 1/2 mile west of Chandler Station on the Concord
and Claremont Railroad line.
Meriden
Bridge is located in Plainfield, NH (Sullivan County). This
bridge was built in 1880 and spans Blood Brook. Located 1 mile
northwest of State Route 120 on Colby Hill Road.
Dalton
Bridge is located in Warner, NH (Merrimack County). This bridge
was built approximately 1853 and spans the Warner River. Located
south of State Route 103 on Joppa Road.
Waterloo
Bridge is located in Warner, NH (Sullivan County). Built in
1840. The bridge spans the Warner River and is located south
of State Route 103, 2 miles west of Warner Village on New Market
Road.

Sunapee Scenic Byway - From Sunapee, take Route 103 south
to Warner and Rollings State Park. Take a drive up Kearsarge
Mountain for a great view. This route is 25 miles.

samples. Famous for its mica, Ruggles Mine is also rich with
amethyst, rose quartz, and garnet. Drive to the top of Isinglass
