Valleys of the Susquehanna

Checkerboard farmlands stretch out to the east and west, while quaint historic towns recall the splendor of days gone by. The Valleys of the Susquehanna is often called the heart and soul of Pennsylvania. Not to be missed is a scenic overlook on Route 15 in South Williamsport. State Parks abound in this region, offering many opportunities to view the foliage and enjoy the outdoors. Check out Williamsport and the stately mansions of former lumber tycoons. During the 1860's, there were more millionaires created in Williamsport than any other place. So don't miss this region with so much to offer!

  • Davis Bridge in Cleveland Township. Built in 1875. Spans the North branch of Roaring Creek. Located on Twp. Rt. 371.
  • Dimmsville Covered Bridge in Dimmsville, PA. Spans the Cocolanus Creek.
  • Esther Furnace Bridge in Cleveland Township. Located on Twp. Rt. 373. Built in 1881 and spans North branch of Roaring Creek.
  • Fowlersville Bridge in North Centre Township. Located north of Route 93. Spans Briar Creek. Built in 1887.
  • Hollingshead Bridge in Catawissa Township. Located on Twp. Rt. 405. Built in 1851 and spans the Catawissa Creek.
  • Johnson Bridge in Cleveland Township. Spans Mugger Run. Built in 1882. Located on Twp. Rt. 320.
  • Josiah Hess Bridge in Fishing Creek Township. Located on Rt. 363. Spans Huntington Creek and was built in 1875.
  • Jud Christian Bridge in Jackson Township. Built in 1876 and located on Twp. Rt. 685. Spans Little Fishing Creek.
  • Knoebel's Grove Bridge in Franklin Township. Built in 1975 and is situated in Knoebel's Grove Amusement Park. Spans the South branch of the Roaring Creek.
  • Kramer Bridge in Greenwood Township. Built in 1881. Spans the Mud Run and is located on Twp. Rt. 572.
  • Krickbaum Bridge in Cleveland Township. Built in 1876. Spans the South branch of Roaring Creek. Located on Twp. Rt. 302.
  • Lawrence L. Knoebel Bridge in Cleveland Township. Built in 1881. Spans the South branch of the Roaring Creek. Located off Twp. Rt. 487.
  • Parr's Mill Bridge in Cleveland & Franklin Townships. Built in 1866. Spans the North branch of Roaring Creek. Located on Twp. Rt. 371.
  • Patterson Bridge in Orange Township. Built in 1875. Spans the Green Creek. Located on Twp. Rt. 575.
  • Richards (Reichard) Bridge in Cleveland Township. Built in 1880. Spans the South branch of Roaring Creek. Located on Twp. Rt. 337.
  • Rupert Bridge in the Town of Bloomsburg and Montour Township. Built in 1847. Spans the Fishing Creek. Located on Twp. Rt. 449
  • Sam Eckman Bridge is located north of Millville on Twp. Rt. 548. Built in 1876, spans Little Fishing Creek.
  • Shoemaker Bridge in Pine Township. Built in 1881. Spans the West Branch Run. Located near PA Rt. 442.
  • Snyder Bridge in Locust Township. Construction date unknown. Spans the North branch of Roaring Creek. Located on Twp. Rt. 361.
  • Stillwater Bridge in Stillwater Borough. Built in 1849. Spans Fishing Creek. Located on Twp. Rt. 629.
  • Twin Covered Bridges in Bloomsburg, PA. East and West Paden. Only twin covered bridge in the U.S.
  • Wanich Bridge in Hemlock & Mount Pleasant Townships. Built in 1844. Spans Little Fishing Creek. Located on Twp. Rt. 493.
